A Note on FundNet and Security:
The Fund is dedicated to providing Fund customers with the highest possible level of security and performance while using FundNet.
When logging in, and in other areas of the FundNet site where user identification or other sensitive information is transmitted between your computer and FundNet, we have implemented a secure, 128-bit encrypted, SSL connection.
You can tell when a secure, encrypted connection is active, because your browser address bar will contain "https://..." instead of "http://..." and a small padlock will appear at the bottom of the page:
In order to improve performance, FundNet will automatically redirect your browser to a non-SSL connection once the secure encryption is no longer necessary (once your user-id and password have been received and verified, for instance). When this happens, your browser may prompt you with a message similar to:
This simply means that FundNet has determined the page you're about to access contains no confidential information and the secure connection is no longer necessary.
